I think that we all practice in different ways. I do provide treatment on the first visit. Let’s say they are having back or neck troubles, I’ll use BL 62 and SI 3 combination. If I se come change, that’s informs me as to how the may do with acupuncture. Or I’ll use auricular points to address some of their health concerns. But for me, I want them to know that acupuncture is not a magic bullet and that they may not see immediate results. If they do, great! If not, they won’t be disappointed and think that acupuncture doesn’t work. As for finances, I’ll lay out their options, pay at TOS, pre-pay, etc and let them know that their are ways to get their health from point A to point B, and this is how it would look, financially. I would say for my cash paying clients, it’s about 50-50, pay at TOS and pre-pay.

As for returning the unopened care plan, by all means. Our return policy is guaranteed as long as they are unopened and in good condition. Just send them back, include a note as to what you want us to do to them and we’ll expedite that on our end!

In my community here I do not even consider Not doing acupuncture on the first visit.
I have also realized that I cannot use your system of financial analysis with patients, because although I adore seeing patients over a long period of time– and I do explain about maintenance care– my town is very very hard hit by the financial crisis , so that is far to scarey for most of them.
One of my selling points is that I do not charge separately for different modalities. I charge by the session. it keeps it pretty simple and easier for people to plan for.
I have already sent you email that I would like to return the un-opened pad of financial forms for future credit.

Enjoyed the webinar, and think that the information is good. Though we may do some of the same things with our patients, it is always great to see how others do it, to improve our practice of the medicine every day. I don’t do a report of findings now, but definitely will in the future. We are working on complementary forms to complete our paperwork for the first two visits. Thanks for great information, and for the backup brochures, folders, etc. that you provide through Acupuncture Media works. I was a marketer in my life before acupuncture, and I love it when someone else “creates the wheel” for me. Am looking forward to more information about Happy Hours…and maybe some holiday get-together information that you might provide.
